The 1st IE Urban Film Festival (taking place at Ontario Mills AMC Theatre June 20th for 2pm – 6pm) has announced the Celebrity Loop’s own Bill Duke is being honored as his film “COVER” was name as the festival’s feature project.
Kim Rhochelle, the festival’s producer, stated “This film was chosen as the main feature because it deals with HIV, the Down Low syndrome and has a powerfully impacted message to all that watches and in particular the urban community.”
“COVER” deals with a church-going home-maker, who is fingered as the prime suspect in a murder case. Her life unravels when she discovers her husband of 15 years has been leading a double life. Her faith and character keep the family alive as a deadly disease threatens to destroy all that they hold dear.
